BMES, in collaboration with SWE and AIChE, hosted an engaging SolidWorks Workshop to introduce students to the fundamentals of 3D modeling.

SolidWorks is a widely used software in industries such as aerospace and defense, medical devices, and chemical engineering, making it an essential tool for engineers to master. This beginner-friendly workshop provided students with hands-on experience, guided by student instructors, and offered a great opportunity to enhance resumes with a valuable technical skill. Computers and software were provided, ensuring accessibility for all attendees.

Due to high interest, a Part 2 of the workshop was also held, allowing students to further develop their SolidWorks skills and build on what they learned in the first session.

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and to AIChE and SWE for their dedication in making this event possible!

BMES looks forward to hosting more technical workshops and hands-on learning opportunities in the future—stay tuned for what’s next!
